I bought a house here a few months ago. Also, a few months before I was brought to Noctium most recently, I came into a rather old and neglected estate which I was partly-responsible for refurbishing.
Oh, yes, that was in my home country. I haven't been to any other alien worlds aside from this one, although I realize that makes me not especially well-travelled compared to some of the people here.
You speak from experience? I will say that I'm glad to have been spirited away to a futuristic and largely peaceful metropolis instead of some sort of savage backwater or alien hellscape.
I'm sorry to hear that. Sumarlok can certainly get a bit rambunctious for my tastes, but I still prefer that to a year spent completely beyond the reach of civilization.
It's beyond my realm of understanding also, but then I am no mage and no scholar. Unravelling the mysteries that comprise passages between different realities is a task for minds far greater than mine.
My home is nothing like this. The technology and magic are both far beyond what would be considered usual anywhere that I know of, although perhaps the people of ancient Azlant might have had something comparable, before the fall of their empire.
I was given an education at my temple, and I have lived long enough to learn some things about the world, but none of that prepared me for my time here.
Some things took longer to get used to than others. I still have trouble with the technology, for example. But in general, it took a few months before I started to get used to the strangeness of it all. I arrived toward the end of winter, so it has been some time now.

I'll keep that in mind. Have you done a lot of moving in the past?

How did you come to leave that place?

I'm not familiar with any technology or magic that's capable of such things, but the level of both those things here are far beyond my own experience.

[ There's a certain eloquence to this person's speech, even over text. ]
Did it take you long to get settled in here

What of yourself?

The level of technology here is somewhat similar to what I experienced where I was before. You could say I have something of a headstart.
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to how crowded the cities are though.

At least Emerald Park is within easy travelling distance.

There are trails there, but I'm used to navigating in woodlands, so I don't always stick to them. It's relaxing, if you like that kind of thing.
