Liem's mindscape is dark; quiet; contemplative. Any feelings or sensations that Liem doesn't intentionally project himself seem distant, as though echoing from a far-off room. Following any given sense to its source is bafflingly difficult.

[It would be so sad for D to snap Liem’s neck like a toothpick in his own house. We can all be glad that this possibility never came to pass.

At D’s elaboration on the blood pills, Liem’s brows draw together in a slight frown. He says Frontier vampires, but that shouldn’t matter in Kenos, should it? It shouldn’t matter, unless “dhampir” means something very different for D than he’d thought.]

[Liem rises when D does, ready to be a polite host and show him to the door so he can put all his ominous goth overwear back on. Still, he is troubled by the implications of what D has told him. Is D just… a living man with the powers of a vampire? Also, if Frontier vampires become strong with age, how long has D been hunting them, to be as strong as he is?]

Vampires of my world do not need to bite someone to enslave their will. But— I have never had that power, regardless.

[Just like he doesn’t have most of the vampires’ other powers, even now that he’s gained regeneration and the ability to crawl on ceilings. No will-crushing powers for him, no life-draining claws or bite, no turning into a cloud of mist or a wolf or a bat, no summoning swarms of vermin or packs of beasts. He really has always been, for the most part, just a pointy-toothed guy for most of his life.]

[Liem is really just a little guy!!! It is funny Liem has the lifestyle in this regard D would have preferred; however, one which would have made him a failure rather than a success in the eyes of the Sacred Ancestor.

The first question does not receive an answer, but it wouldn't be difficult for Liem to understand the lack of answer is as telling as any answer. And D did not say no... which would have been the first thing anyone said to an untrue accusation, even D.]

The Nobility have many tactics to lure in victims. They can hypnotize easily with their eyes and their presence. But if their bite doesn't kill, then their victim will become a thrall quickly, or over time. If the Noble has the power, the Kiss of the Nobility will turn the victim into a vampire. The outcome is a roulette unless the vampire is strong enough to initiate the Kiss.

Most dhampirs inherit this from their vampiric parent.

[Choosing to ignore Liem’s question is definitely the most conspicuous and also the saddest thing D could have done. Never before has Liem ever had the opportunity to think of himself as being at all like a normal human man, but as much as indulging in his own bloodthirst always riddles him with shame, at least the stain his association leaves on other people is only ever cultural. His bite has never had power over anyone.

He wonders if D has ever bitten anyone himself — if he’s had cause to discover this the hard way.

Liem is also, now, a little unsettled, and wondering if he might be able to turn someone else into a vampire if he drained them all the way, as the vampires on Golarion do. He doesn’t intend to find out, but he doesn’t like the fact that he can’t confidently say it wouldn’t happen, especially in light of his other changes.]

I hope then, that you find what you require.

[If those pills are the only way for D to feel more like a normal man, he earnestly wishes for him to find a way to create them again.]

D hums in acknowledgement to Liem's very Soft Boy well wishes. He has a bad feeling already he is going to have to go against his own moral code and drink more from willing others. Wonderful.]

Set was incredibly serious and insistent about the secret of Anubis, and as a god, what perceive control could someone else have over Set? Hmm.
