There's no need to force it. If it doesn't feel right to accept a new housemate right now, you might feel differently later on.

But perhaps if you are in need of company, you might have friends stay over temporarily, at least some of the time. On days that I do not work, it wouldn't be any inconvenience to me to stay somewhere else for a night or two.

I would be more than happy to stay with you now and then. Don't worry about accommodating me; I slept in all kinds of places when I used to travel, including in haylofts and on roadsides. I don't need a human bed to be comfortable.

[It does seem like a cruel story, yes. Liem's mother didn't live long enough to regret the birth of her second child, but he's not sure he could have blamed her if she had. So being turned into a tree seems excessive to him, but then he supposes her wish angered whichever god sired her child.]

When someone passes in my homeland, it is customary to inter the body in a crypt or in the earth beneath a headstone. Even if there is no body to bury, a headstone might still be erected for loved ones to visit and mourn at.

But I think a picture on an altar already serves that purpose. And if it is a more familiar custom, it's probably best to stick with what is more meaningful for you.

[Even though Liem is most assuredly not descended from any gods, he can at least understand being being haunted by the feeling of being other because of one's race or lineage. Perhaps even demigods yearn for quiet, ordinary lives.]

I don't know how appropriate it is for me to receive something of his. I only ever met him once.

[Liem has some doubts about how useful a bow made for a demigod would be to him, but arrows are arrows, and Konoha is right about people here not having much use for archery. He had to hunt down a specialty shop just to find somewhere that would sell arrows to him, and only then at a price that would make a miser weep.]

[To be honest she thinks the bow might be too large for him, now that she thinks about it a bit better. She might not be an archer, but she knew enough basics to know that size mattered with a bow, and Chiron's was made to be pulled back by a centaur who weight a tight 1,200.]

[Maybe if Liem needs a different bow for when he's in centaur mode and his emerald is acting up... but yeah, the draw weight on Chiron's bow is definitely not going to be well-suited for his ordinary little man arms.]

Most of the music that plays on the radio here is very unlike anything I would ever hear back home. I would be happy to listen to your lyre playing, even if you are still a beginner.

[Yeah, the music in Noctium is A Lot. It can be enjoyable in its own way, but after a certain point it definitely starts to just devolve into pure noise.]

Yes. In much the same way you could read stories written by someone who lived far away, or long ago, music can be passed on in writing as well.

It might make it easier to learn new songs, rather than trying to puzzle out the notes by ear and remember the matching strings.

I'm sure many songs are learned that way, but it's not the only way to learn music. There are two bardic schools in my city, and sheet music, I think, comes particularly in handy when one is teaching an entire class of students.

I had to learn it when I was first learning to sing at my temple, but I haven't needed to use it for a very long time.

Oppara is well known for its love of the arts. Many aspiring musicians come there for the chance to learn, so there is enough demand for entire academies devoted to music, dance, and other performances.

Music can be complicated to read, if the melody is complex. But it is simpler than reading language.

I am rather partial to poetry, though of course it's popular for poetry to be recited to music as well. But yes, Oppara is a very grand city. Not so large as Sumarlok, but very old and very wealthy.

And I could certainly bring some sheet music with me when I visit next. I'll bring some blank sheets as well.
