[On one hand, Liem does not know this person and certainly wasn't the intended recipient of this message. On the other hand... this couch.]
I don't know what the colour scheme for your sitting room is like, but personally? I wouldn't ever get a khaki couch. Almost any other colour would be preferable.
By itself, it's just ugly and plain. And if I wanted a neutral colour to pair with bolder accents, I would probably choose something in a lighter shade. Perhaps ivory or cream.
[Oh, he... just straight up hasn't noticed, has he. Liem hadn't realized.]
I'm afraid I don't know. To clarify, I do not know what your home looks like or any of your thoughts about it, because I am not the intended recipient for your message. I live by myself, and your username is not familiar to me.
I have been a home owner for many years, and in the last few months especially I have spent a lot of my time on interior decorating.
[He's somehow managed to come into possession of three different houses across two different worlds, which he never would have imagined could be in his future.]
I can lend you advice if you want it, and if you have pictures of the room itself.
I don't usually stay in one place so there's been no need for me to own a house up until now.
[ And considering the likelihood of him disappearing at any given point is nonzero, he still doesn't really see a point in getting a house just for himself. Too bad he's not by himself here anymore.
But! Following those messages is a picture of an empty living room. Hardwood floor, plain walls, plenty of windows for natural light. Clearly he's just come into this new house. ]
It's an option you have. It's also easier to do so before you've moved in and unpacked all your belongings, because then you don't need to worry about painting around anything or covering up your furniture to keep it from getting dirty.
I hired someone to paint my home when I first acquired it, though. I didn't do it myself.
I bought a house here a few months ago. Also, a few months before I was brought to Noctium most recently, I came into a rather old and neglected estate which I was partly-responsible for refurbishing.
Oh, yes, that was in my home country. I haven't been to any other alien worlds aside from this one, although I realize that makes me not especially well-travelled compared to some of the people here.
You speak from experience? I will say that I'm glad to have been spirited away to a futuristic and largely peaceful metropolis instead of some sort of savage backwater or alien hellscape.
I'm sorry to hear that. Sumarlok can certainly get a bit rambunctious for my tastes, but I still prefer that to a year spent completely beyond the reach of civilization.
It's beyond my realm of understanding also, but then I am no mage and no scholar. Unravelling the mysteries that comprise passages between different realities is a task for minds far greater than mine.
My home is nothing like this. The technology and magic are both far beyond what would be considered usual anywhere that I know of, although perhaps the people of ancient Azlant might have had something comparable, before the fall of their empire.
I was given an education at my temple, and I have lived long enough to learn some things about the world, but none of that prepared me for my time here.
Some things took longer to get used to than others. I still have trouble with the technology, for example. But in general, it took a few months before I started to get used to the strangeness of it all. I arrived toward the end of winter, so it has been some time now.
don't worry about it 👌

What's wrong with the color?

Sorry. Sending messages has been a pain in the ass the last few weeks.
[ Sorry also for the language. ]
You seem to know something about home decorating though.

[Hmm, yeah. This place is really bare-bones, isn't it.]
Are you planning on painting anything, or will you be leaving the walls that colour?

[ Sounds like a lotta work tbh!! ]

I'll keep that in mind. Have you done a lot of moving in the past?

How did you come to leave that place?

I'm not familiar with any technology or magic that's capable of such things, but the level of both those things here are far beyond my own experience.

Did it take you long to get settled in here

What of yourself?

The level of technology here is somewhat similar to what I experienced where I was before. You could say I have something of a headstart.
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to how crowded the cities are though.

At least Emerald Park is within easy travelling distance.
